  My family and I have always savoured the products from Black Forest Bakery. We generally pick up various delights for special occasions. This week (week of Aug. 28, 2017) I picked up an apple pie for the first time. Much to our surprise we were disappointed. Visually the pie looked amazing, yet upon serving it, the apples were hard and crunchy, there were hard seed pods in the filling (those hard things in the core of the apple) and it was just not a good gourmet pie. I also picked up the sour cherry pie and upon tasting it I found it to be very good. We give a thumbs up for the sour cherry and a thumbs down for the apple.

  Very disappointing. Everything "looks" excellent but has absolutely no taste. It's like eating margarine on a piece of bread topped with whipped cream.
